Find the billing channel

Use a genuine receipt or the subscription information in the account you actually paid through. Apple’s official guidance explains checking which account or company bills you when a subscription is not visible. A familiar app name in an email does not establish the right account or cancellation route.

Keep billing information private and avoid using a suspicious renewal message as the entry point. This guide describes administrative checks; it does not quote a changing price, interpret your contract or decide a payment dispute. The actual provider’s current terms and response matter.

Complete the cancellation process, then read its result

For Google Play subscriptions, Google explicitly says that uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription. Follow the official cancellation instructions for the account and provider involved. If the subscription is billed elsewhere, use that provider’s process instead of assuming Google or Apple can manage it.

Write what the confirmation says about renewal and the relevant date. If there is no clear confirmation, ask through the verified support route. Do not label a task complete merely because you removed the icon from your phone or stopped using a premium function.

Check your plan’s information needs separately

Before changing access, consider which small pieces of information you still need for everyday planning. You might want the current goal and a support contact, rather than a copy of every historical entry. Check actual data controls before assuming an export or a backup is available.

Resolve a billing question through its own route

If a charge or subscription status remains unclear, retain the receipt and confirmation and contact the responsible billing provider. Refund eligibility and access questions are separate from deciding whether the tracker was useful. Avoid sharing financial details in a peer quitting chat.
